FTSE 100 Stock Index The FTSE 100 is the United Kingdom's premier stock index. The FTSE 100 is provided by the London Stock Exchangein the United Kingdom, and includes the one hundred largest (in terms of capitalisation) british companies that are traded on the London stock exchange. The FTSE 100 is calculated in real time from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM British Time, using the prices of the one hundred individual stocks from the London stock exchange. Performance Over the past ten years, the FTSE 100 stock index has reached a low of 3491 (March 2003) and an all time high of 6732 (June 2007). ![]() Derivatives The FTSE 100 futures and options markets are the main FTSE 100 derivatives, and these are traded on the Euronext electronic exchange (LIFFE CONNECT) from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM British Time. The FTSE 100 futures market is the most actively traded FTSE 100 derivative, and is one of the preferred markets of british professional traders.
